Residence Arese Milan - Italy

Asbestos removal and replacement with Ardogres 40X40

Roof tile: 40X40 Nero Ardesia

Unlike the other projects, this one is a renovation and replacement of asbestos roofing that began 30 years ago and is still ongoing.

Specifically, the work concerns the Residence in Arese, near Milan in Italy, consisting of numerous mansard-roofed houses; in a context of general redevelopment of the buildings, Ardogres 40X40 tiles, in various colours, were used as roofing to replace the previous rhomboidal asbestos shingles.

In the attached pictures, the quality of the installation can be evaluated, as well as the quality of the Ardogres porcelain stoneware tiles, compared to that of the previous roofing.

In this case, the work was carried out by Green Building Projects srl of Milan, a company highly specialised in the field of roofing, facades, asbestos abatement and photovoltaic systems.

The main features of Ardogres 40X40 tiles for roofs and facades include:

- Design. The production process using full digital technology makes it possible to faithfully reproduce the surfaces and graphics of natural products such as stone, slate and wood, making Ardogres roofs suitable for use in contexts characterised by historical and landscape constraints;

- Lightness. Its weight of 25 kg/sq.m. makes it one of the lightest and most suitable roof coverings in terms of earthquake resistance;

- Resistance. Ardogres porcelain stoneware guarantees high performance against the most extreme weather phenomena, such as wind, frost and hail;

- Absorbency. Porcelain stoneware is frost-resistant and is impervious to external agents such as mould, lichens and acid attacks.

- 50-year warranty
