Historical buildings in San Siro Milan - Italy

Replacement of asbestos roofing with Stone Grey 40X40 shingles

Roof tile: 40X40 Grigio Pietra

This project is part of a larger remediation and redevelopment of several historical buildings in Via Patroclo, next to the hippodrome and the Meazza Stadium, in the San Siro district of Milan.

Over the years, the existing asbestos rhomboid shingle roofs were replaced with Ardogres Grigio Pietra 40X40 tiles, made of Porcelain Stoneware.

In the attached pictures, it is possible to appreciate some important details such as the difference between the roofs and the work phases of the last intervention completed at the end of 2023.

The installation was carried out by the company Green Building Projects srl of Milan, which is specialised in this type of work, such as, for example, the redevelopment of several individual house roofs in the Arese Residence, near Milan.

Ardogres 40X40 tiles are made of porcelain stoneware, a material whose qualities and resistance are unanimously recognised. The intrinsic characteristics of this ceramic product make it the best solution for both new constructions and renovations of historic buildings like these: it adapts to any style, be it modern or traditional, and can easily be combined with other materials.

In our blog, we have addressed the issue of replacing asbestos on the roofs of residential and industrial buildings.

As mentioned, Ardogres 40X40 lends itself easily to the replacement of asbestos tiles while preserving the architectural style of the original project.
