Slate replacement with Ardogres St.Michel 40X40

Roof tile: 40X40 St. Michel

This is a significant intervention to replace the old slate roofing with St.Michel 40X40 shingles with rhomboidal or 'French-style' laying.

This was carried out by Green Building Projects srl, a Milan-based company specialising in roofing, ventilated facades, asbestos abatement and photovoltaic systems.

The old slate roof, which had deteriorated and had already been subjected to slab replacement works over the years, was completely renovated using Ardogres St.Michel 40X40 roof tiles.

This type of tile is characterised by a very varied graphic design, typical of natural stone roofing and slate tiles from Valle d'Aosta, near Turin.

In the attached images you can appreciate the quality of the installation as well as the quality of the Ardogres porcelain stoneware shingles compared to the previous roofing.

The main features of Ardogres 40X40 tiles include:

- Aesthetics. The production process using digital technology makes it possible to faithfully reproduce the surface and graphics of natural products such as stone, slate and wood, making Ardogres roofs suitable for use in contexts characterised by historical and landscape constraints;

- Lightness. Its weight of 25 kg/sq.m. makes it one of the lightest and most suitable roof coverings in terms of earthquake resistance;

- Resistance. Ardogres porcelain stoneware guarantees high performance against the most extreme weather phenomena, such as wind, frost and hail;

- Absorbency. Porcelain stoneware is frost-proof and it is resistant to external agents such as mould, lichens and acid attacks;

- 50-year warranty
